TODAY I CONVERSED WITH
A LOVELY BLOG WITH LOVELY PEOPLE by Filippo Lorenzin

todayiconversedwith.tumblr.com/post/23401586346/annie-abrahams (not any more online -> Today I conversed with | …Annie Abrahams.pdf)

We’ve chatted about borders between ‘media art’ and ‘art’, the Internet and social networks.

I like to think about our relations on the so-called social web as a foam. We are like bubbles migrating through constantly changing aggregations. But the Internet is also keeping traces of all these interactions and this could be (are) used to denature the foam and put us in cases, cages where we only meet “ourselve”.

ALLERGIC TO UTOPIAS

My thinking is more about communication: about, on the one hand, the desire of being close with someone and, on the other, the necessity of restricting one’s openness, of closing oneself, of retreating from intimacy.Maybe a performance is for me, as an artist, what an article is to a scientific researcher –that is, a way to make public, to share, something that you think is important for other people to know about or to feel. I hate politics. I prefer action

Interview Hz journal

Artistic Textual and Performative Paths in New Media Correlations: An Interview with Annie Abrahams
by Evelin Stermitz

Evelin Stermitz‘ interview with net artist Annie Abrahams, whose “works are structured on both digitized hyper and on site realities. She constructs forms of collective writings on the net and reconstructs them into offline perceptions, which leads to creations of net-operas and other web based interventions.”

Fylkingen’s journal Hz started as a non-virtual journal after its predecessor Fylkingen Bulletin from ’60s. Since 2000, Hz moved to the Internet and has become an Internet journal, one of the few in Sweden. From the second issue in 2003 it also includes Net Gallery, where international Internet art works are presented.
